Treatment Programs

MBHA Rehab delivers a full continuum of addiction treatment calibrated for young adults. From medically supervised detox through structured outpatient care, each program builds on the last -- creating a seamless clinical path from stabilization to independent living.

Our Programs

Medical Detox

Medical detoxification at MBHA Rehab lasts 3 to 7 days under 24/7 physician and nursing supervision. Our team uses validated withdrawal severity scales to guide medication-assisted treatment decisions in real time, managing symptoms from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, fentanyl, and other substances safely. Young adults receive age-appropriate nutritional support, hydration protocols, and continuous vital-sign monitoring throughout the withdrawal process. Detox is the clinical foundation -- not a standalone service -- and every patient transitions directly into residential or outpatient programming upon medical clearance.

Residential Treatment

Our 30- to 90-day residential program immerses patients in a structured therapeutic environment across our 68-bed Redlands campus. Daily programming follows a balanced-wellness model: clinical therapy sessions each morning, physical fitness and creative activities in the afternoon, and reflective group work in the evening. Individual counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy are delivered by licensed clinicians who specialize in young-adult addiction. Patients also participate in vocational readiness workshops, peer mentoring circles, and family therapy sessions designed to repair damaged relationships while building accountability for the future.

Outpatient Program

MBHA Rehab's outpatient track runs 8 to 12 weeks and is built for young adults stepping down from residential care or entering treatment while maintaining work and school commitments. Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) meets three to four evenings per week, covering relapse prevention, coping-skills development, and group process therapy. Standard outpatient sessions reduce to one or two meetings per week as patients demonstrate stability. Throughout both tracks, patients maintain access to psychiatric consultation, medication management, and alumni peer-support networks. Outpatient care is designed to reinforce clinical gains within the context of real-world pressures -- not in isolation from them.

Dual Diagnosis

Co-occurring mental health conditions -- depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, bipolar disorder -- are the rule rather than the exception among young adults with substance use disorders. MBHA Rehab's dual-diagnosis program integrates psychiatric evaluation at admission, coordinated medication management, and parallel treatment tracks that address both conditions simultaneously. Our clinicians use trauma-informed CBT and Somatic Experiencing to process the psychological roots of addiction while stabilizing mood and cognitive function. Treating addiction without treating its psychiatric co-travelers leads to relapse; we treat both from day one.
